how it all began...

On
graduation day, Felicity Porter asks her crush of four years, Ben Covington, to sign her yearbook. They have never
spoken before, but the message he writes to her is so insightful that she is convinced his words have a special
significance. Felicity changes the course of her future: she gives up medical school and follows Ben to New York
University. There, she is quickly swept into a romantic triangle that brings both discovery and heartache. Felicity
moved to New York to find romance but ends up finding herself and her true destiny.
Felicity's life had always been
painstakingly planned out for her by her parents. Turning away from their wishes and beginning college in New
York City, Felicity emerges from their protected, pre-planned environment into her own life, stumbling toward adulthood.
She discovers that things may happen to her, but it's her reactions that really count. She gains her footing in
a city where anything can happen, striking out on her own with the help of new friend), dorm RA Noel, and high
school obsession-turned platonic pal Ben Covington. Felicity indulges in introspective moments to reflect on all
of these life changes in taped letters to her close friend and French tutor, Sally.
