“No.....”She whispered staring at the television. As tear
fell wildly down her face.
“He can’t be gone.....He was coming to be with me.” She
choked out in between sobs.
As the TV chimed in, “Socialite and Head of the well known
Crane family Ethan Crane has passed on today in a fatal shooting in his hometown of Harmony, Maine. Sources say
that Crane was shot in the chest and taken to the hospital but was unable to make it due to massive blood loss.....”
The reporter continued on.
Theresa picked up the letter she had just received that
I know that you fleeing to New York was the right thing to do but fate has shown me that I can’t live without you
and I’m coming there to be with you. If you’ll have me? I know it was wrong of me to tell you I was still going
to marry her. I love you Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald. Be with me forever.
She dropped the letter.
“They took that well!” Hank said wrapping his arms around
Gwen’s tiny waist.
“Are you kidding me? They freaked!”
“I know!” Hank said laughing. “At least, they know now!
No more hiding.”
“I know I didn’t know how much longer I could hide it!”
She kissed him on the lips.
Their passionate lip lock was interrupted by the ringing
of Gwen’s cell phone.
“Hello?” Gwen said into the phone.
Hank watched Gwen intently as her facial features changed.
She nodded her head and hung up the phone.
“Something happened to Ethan.” Gwen whispered.
“Yes, very bad.”
