Don’t Think I’m Not

Chapter 16

"Hank? Ya here?" Gwen asked as she entered the condo. It was about five p.m., and she really didn’t expect him to be here. Her thoughts were confirmed when she got no response. Gwen walked over to the front hall closet and took off her coat. Grabbing her brief case, she walked into the living room and began setting papers out on the coffee table. ‘So what if Adriana said I couldn’t work after filing that charge, I’m gonna work here.’ She thought. She glanced at the papers and began searching for any detail that they may have missed. She spent hours reviewing every detail until her mind went numb. And when she leaned back to take a break from reading, she fell asleep.

Hank walked in around nine that evening, and noticed a sleeping Gwen on the couch. His heart beat wildly as he watched her sleep. ‘So peaceful.’ He thought. Lightly he walked over to her, and sat down besides her. He gently took the papers from her hand and set them on the table, and then removed her glasses which were pushed up in her hair.

"Hank?" Gwen moaned as she began to wake up.

"Yes."

"You’re home early. It’s your first day, I didn’t think you’d be home until midnight." Gwen yawned and stretched out.

"Well, I’m the boss, I make up my own set of rules." Hank smugly replied. "Plus, there wasn’t much for me to do considering the agents working beneath me won’t come until Wednesday."

"Oh, good." Gwen smiled, remembering her job for tomorrow.

"Why is that good?" Hank inquired.

"Because, Adriana wants me to learn how to use a gun, and you’re supposed to train me!" Gwen sweetly replied.

Hank sat there, staring at her. Did he hear her right? He was supposed to teach her to use a gun?

"Hank, say something." Gwen prodded, suddenly worried by his behavior.

"Um, really, what’s there to say?"

"I don’t know? How about ‘You’re learning from the best.’ or some other cocky remark." Gwen replied.

"Well, you are." Hank smiled, finding his sense of humor.

"There’s the Hank I know."

"Well, if all I’ve got to do is train you tomorrow, then we’ll be done early. How about we catch a dinner with Luis and Sheridan? I bet they’d love to go out." Hank thought aloud.

"Sounds wonderful. I’ll call them now and make arrangements." Gwen kissed Hank’s cheek and got off the couch. When she rounded the corner to the kitchen, he leaned back and relaxed against the leather. Tomorrow was definitely going to be an interesting day.

"Oh Luis." Sheridan moaned as he placed hot kissed on her neck. ‘I don’t know what has come over him, but I like it.’ She thought as they sat down on the couch. Her hands went to his chest, and somehow found there way underneath his shirt. She gently glided her hands up and down, then moved to his back.

Luis began to fumble with the buttons on her shirt, but quickly pulled them out and her shirt off. He dove into the small of her neck, and continued to travel further down, until the edge of his mouth touched her lace bra. Without moving his head, he reached around her and undid the clasp. The bra gently glided down, and left him with -

"Ring, ring!" The telephone rang, and both Luis and Sheridan cursed. Freeing one arm, Sheridan grabbed the caller ID box and read the name.

"Sorry hon, I gotta get this." Sheridan half heartily smiled.

"Damn!" Luis yelled as he got up and paced the room. "Put something on before you talk. Otherwise I won’t be able to control myself."

"No. It’ll only take a minute." Sheridan teasingly replied and picked up the phone. "Hello Gwen."

"You interrupt us for GWEN!" Luis yelled, hearing the name.

Sheridan placed a hand over the phone and looked at him. "Gwen is my friend, and it may be important. We can continue this later, if you’re good!" She warned.

"So Gwen, what’s going on?" Sheridan said into the receiver. "Hmm, tomorrow, I think we’re free. How about, um, seven o’clock?" Sheridan sat and looked into Luis’s brown eyes as Gwen replied. "Seven it is then. Okay, sure, I know where that is."

"Oh great, now I’m freeing up tomorrow night too!" Luis mumbled as he left the living room and walked into the kitchen.

"Uh huh, we’ll see ya then. Bye." Sheridan hung up the phone and entered the kitchen.

"What did Gwen want?" Luis asked as she entered.

"Hank and her want to go out for dinner tomorrow night. I told them we’d join them." Sheridan informed him.

"So where are we going?" Luis skeptically asked.

"The Blue Note. You know, that new dance club. Gwen said she heard they make a killer hamburger." Sheridan sensually walked up to him, and placed her hand on his belt loop. "C’mon cowboy, let’s pick where we left off." She smiled, and quickly removed his shirt.

"Sounds good to me." Luis smirked.
