From the Past
Fan fiction and fond (mostly) memories
of soap days gone by
Sheridan was in the kitchen fixing dinner and waiting for Luis to get home from the station. It had been a long,
busy week for the both of them and they hadn’t seen much of each other. She was glad it was Friday and they didn’t
have to work for three days. She was thrilled about spending some quality time with her handsome husband. The only
thing she wanted to do the moment he got home was rip off his clothes and ravage him. Sheridan listened to the
rain pouring outside and envisioned a soaking wet Luis walking through the door. She closed her eyes thinking about
what she wanted to do to him when the timer on the oven went off, shaking her from the spicy daydream. She took
a deep breath and exhaled a sigh figuring that he’d be home soon enough.
Luis finished up the last file he had to do before leaving for the long weekend. He closed it and threw his pen
down on the desk. He rubbed his eyes tiredly and looked at the picture of Sheridan he kept on his desk. The only
thing he wanted to do was go home and spend the entire weekend in bed with her…holding her, kissing her, and making
love to her. He had been so swamped at the station this week and he really missed her. He was getting lost in his
daydream and then wondered why he was still sitting at his desk. Luis found his coat and headed out the door. Upon
walking outside he found that it was pouring down rain. He sighed heavily wishing he had his umbrella. Since he
didn’t have one he made a mad dash for his jeep. By the time he got there, he was completely soaked. He started
up the engine and drove as fast as he could in the rain to their house.
He pulled into the driveway and didn’t see many lights on inside. He was half hoping to find a naked Sheridan waiting
for him on the other side of the door, but any type of Sheridan suited him just fine. The rain hadn’t let up any
on the drive home, so he made another dash for the door. He put the key in the lock and turned the handle. Music
was playing, so he wasn’t sure she had heard him come in. Luis walked into the kitchen and saw her standing at
the sink with her back to him. He took a second to admire her. She had on old faded blue jeans and a tight black
T-shirt that clung to the curves on her body in a way that made Luis desperately want to tear it off and kiss every
inch of those curves. He made his way over to her and placed his hands in the back pockets of her jeans.
Sheridan jumped slightly as Luis shook her from the fantasy she was having. He lowered his wet head and sucked
gently on her earlobe which elicited a shiver of delight from Sheridan. "Hey baby," he whispered deeply.
She reached her hand around and placed it behind his head. She felt the water run over her fingers as she ran them
through his soaking wet hair. Sheridan tilted her head back so she could kiss him. It was almost like how her fantasy
had started. She kissed him deeply and then pulled back. "Hey yourself, detective." Luis pulled his hands
from her pockets so he wouldn’t get her all wet. She turned around to face him and noticed that he was completely
soaked from head to toe. "Baby, you’re all wet," she said with an impish grin. She looked into his eyes
and noticed how tired he looked. "Do you feel all right, Luis? You look exhausted." She stroked his face
with her hand.
"It’s been a rough week, but all I really need now is some TLC from my gorgeous wife," Luis flashed his
That smile always had the same effect on her. No matter how many times she’d seen it before it never ceased to
make her knees go weak. "Well, I think that can be arranged. Are you hungry?" Luis nodded his head as
he was starving. She stepped closer to him and kissed his lips sweetly. Her hands reached under his jacket and
slipped it expertly off his shoulders allowing it to fall to the ground. Luis sought her mouth out again and she
reached around him to undo his shoulder harness and carefully dropped it on the ground as well.
He broke their kiss and smiled slyly at her. "I thought we were going to eat?"
"Oh we are. I just like to disarm my men before dinner," she said smiling seductively at him.
Luis let out a small laugh. "Is that right?" Sheridan smiled sweetly and nodded her head. "Okay,"
he kissed her quickly, "I’m going to go upstairs and get out of these wet clothes."
"Need any help?" Sheridan asked mischievously.
"Hmm," Luis said rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "That is a tempting offer." He was about to
take her up on it when he heard his stomach growling loudly. ‘Damn.’ "As much as I’d love that, I’m famished."
Sheridan smiled knowingly and figured they were in no rush. He kissed her once more before walking away.
Sheridan watched him go and felt the grin spreading across her face. ‘I’m one lucky woman,’ she thought happily.
She fixed them each a plate of food and decided she wanted to eat in the living room in front of the fire. She
walked in and sat the plates down on the coffee table and went to find matches to light the candles. "Sweetie,
what do you want to drink?" she yelled up the stairs. He told her he wanted a beer so she got one for him
and had a seat on the floor. She was resting with her back against the sofa when he came downstairs. She took notice
of him wearing only boxers and a form fitting white T-shirt. ‘God he’s gorgeous!’
Luis sat down next to Sheridan on the floor and gave her hand a gentle squeeze. "Well this is cozy."
Over dinner they talked about their week, shared long looks, and just enjoyed being in each other’s presence. Luis
tried to stifle a yawn which didn’t go unnoticed by Sheridan. She felt badly for him. He had worked so many hours
at the station this week and he was worn out. He also looked really stressed. She took the plates to the kitchen
and put them in the dishwasher. When she returned she found Luis sitting on the couch with his eyes closed. She
knew how tired he was, but she was going to do everything in her power to keep him awake for awhile. All she needed
was to wrap her arms around him and feel his arms wrapped around her.
She walked over to the couch and gently lowered herself down onto Luis’ lap straddling his legs.
He opened his eyes and gave her an approving smile as his arms slithered around her waist. She ran her hands gently
across his face. "Hello, sir," she said with a playful smile. Her hands brushed along his face and trailed
them down his neck and rested them on his chest.
"Hi beautiful," he answered softly. He occupied his hands and slowly traveled them up and down her back
in a relaxing fashion. Sheridan tilted her head forward and kissed him. It started slow, but reached new levels
of passion in a hurry. His lips felt warm and soft against hers and each kiss was so full of love. When she pulled
away she rested her forehead against his and exhaled a peaceful sigh.
After awhile she leaned her head back slightly so she could look into his soulful eyes. "I have a proposition
for you, Luis."
Luis raised an eyebrow, very curious as to what she had up her sleeve. "And what might that be, Mrs. Lopez-Fitzgerald?"
he asked with a furtive grin.
Sheridan gazed lovingly at him for a moment before she spoke and absentmindedly began rubbing his chest. "Well,
I know how tired and stressed you are…but I really want to be close to you," she said tenderly. "So…I
think I have just the TLC you’re looking for."
"Hmm…I’m listening." Luis lowered his hands and caressed them over her hips. He finally rested them in
the back pockets of her jeans again.
"I was thinking…" she leaned in and kissed him. "About you…me…some soft music…a bottle of wine,"
she spoke slowly between kisses. Luis smiled and started to respond but she cut him off with a kiss. "And
a nice…hot…bubble bath," she whispered in a husky voice. Luis smiled and she continued. "And whatever
happens from there, we’ll just play by ear." His smile gave way to a full blown grin and it spread across
"That sounds incredible, Sheridan." He pulled one hand out of her pocket and ran his fingers through
the blonde curls on her head. He rested it along the nape of her neck and pulled her in for a passionate kiss.
"I’m glad you like the idea, sweetie," she said when they pulled apart. "Now, you get the wine,
and I’ll get our bath ready." She wiggled her eyebrows at him and he chuckled softly. She kissed him again
but pulled away before she got swept away in the moment. She slid off his lap and tossed a smile over her shoulder
at him before she headed up the stairs.
Luis watched her hurry up the stairs. ‘What did I ever do to deserve her?’ He felt himself unable to control the
grin on his face as he stood up and walked into the kitchen to get the wine.
Upstairs, Sheridan was running the bath and dumped a large amount of bubble bath into the water. She lit some candles
that were placed around the large tiled tub and turned on some soft jazz music. The rain was still pouring outside
and along with the candles and music it made for a very romantic atmosphere. She stripped off her clothes quickly
and stepped into the steaming bath. She inhaled deeply and exhaled a relaxing sigh upon feeling the hot water wash
over her body. She heard Luis coming up the stairs and she couldn’t wait for him to join her.
Luis walked up the stairs with a bottle of red wine and two wine glasses in his hand. He walked into their bedroom
and made his way to the bathroom door. It was ajar slightly and he pushed it open. His eyes did a quick scan of
the room and he noticed the glow of candlelight and the soft jazz music playing in the background. He then fixed
his eyes on Sheridan.
She became aware of his presence but pretended not to notice. Instead, she lifted one of her legs in the air and
seductively ran her soapy hands down the length of it. She knew exactly what this would do to him. And it was having
quite an effect on him. He absorbed this scene into his mind and felt his pulse quicken. He slowly walked to the
edge of the tub and sat the wine and glasses down on the step leading up to it. Sheridan saw him walk over to her
and she turned her head. "Hi," she said softly. Luis smiled watching her eyes dance in the candlelight.
Sheridan scooped up some bubbles into her hand. "You coming in? The water’s fine." Her voice was low
and sexy. She then blew the bubbles playfully in his direction.
Luis let out a low laugh. "You bet I am." He stood up and pulled off his shirt. Sheridan leaned back
against the tub so she could watch him. Luis could feel her eyes on him so he looked directly into her piercing
blue gaze. He stood still watching her eyes travel over his body slowly. Sheridan loved to watch him. He was so
extremely beautiful and sexy. Her eyes slowly made their way back up to meet his and she gave him a faint smile.
Luis then brought his hands to the waistband of his boxers and casually slipped them off. Sheridan gave her naked
husband a devilish look and he finally made his way into the tub.
She sat up making room for him to sit down. Sheridan slid closely to him and met his mouth in a fervent kiss. When
they pulled apart he gently ran his hand along the contour of her face and looked deeply into her eyes. She gazed
adoringly at him and they remained in comfortable silence for a few moments. "Do you want some wine?"
Luis finally asked.
"I’d love some."
He reached over the side of the tub and handed her a glass. He poured her glass first and then his. He stared into
her beautiful, sparkling blue eyes trying to read her thoughts. There was a look of longing and desire in them
and he felt certain that he had the exact same look in his eyes.
"What should we toast to?" Sheridan asked.
"Hmm…how about sharing bubble baths?" He suggested with roguish grin.
Sheridan giggled. "I’ll drink to that?" She raised her glass to his and they sipped their wine. Luis’
free hand sought hers and intertwined their fingers. Sheridan was eager to touch him, kiss him, and simply be as
close as possible to him. She sat her glass down and Luis followed suit. She brought her hands up and cupped his
face. "Are you ready for your TLC now?"
Luis ran his hands down her back. "Mmm…yeah." He knew she was calling the shots, but he also knew she
was doing this for him. He leaned in and kissed her sweetly. She saw a strange look in his eyes when the kiss ended.
"Do you know how much I love you?" His voice was questioning and full of uncertainty. Sometimes he found
it hard to believe that she was his wife and they were utterly and completely happy. They had been through so much
to get where they were now, and he just wanted to make sure nothing ever happened to take that away. Sheridan looked
at him with curious eyes and nodded her head. "I honestly don’t know what I’d ever do without you," he
