Why do we trust this mayoral buffoon?

Have you ever wondered why anyone in Bay City ever trusts Grant Harrison?
He’s one of those people where, what you see, is what you get. But unfortunately, many of this city’s residents
have a blind spot for him. Take Cindy, for instance, she is clueless when it comes to the mayor. She’d rather risk
going to jail herself than to have her precious hubby incarcerated. What drugs has he been putting her cocktails?
Do normal people fall for this? Maybe, but in the area of soaps, it’s another world all together.
Then there’s Vicky, just when I think she has him all figured out, and I’m ready to scream, "YOU GO GIRL!,"
she goes and does something stupid, like, believe what he says. That’s the number one no-no when it comes to Grant.
Never believe a word he says. I have yet to hear a sincere thought come out of his mouth that wasn’t coated in
pure bull-hockey.
And now there is, yet, another woman in Grant’s life. Lila has become his unwilling accomplice in getting custody
of Kirkland. She’s even gone as far as to forge a fake journal in Shane’s handwriting. But you can’t blame Lila
for gravitating toward Grant. You know what they say about birds of a feather. Sometimes evil just flocks to evil
and in this case, Southern evil.
I’m convinced Grant must have invented a machine, either that or he stole it from some two bit inventor, that masks
feelings. And in this case, Grant’s feelings. I’ll bet you’re wondering how? Well, if you’re wearing this device
all you need do is flick a switch and wa-la, instant emotional control. Oh, Grant will still feel all the feelings
he normally does but this device will filter out hatred and other negative emotions and change them into love and
friendship, which is then projected onto whomever he has his mind focused on. Pretty ingenious invention, don’t
you think? Gotta get me one of those!
There are times, as there always are, when the device breaks down from constant overuse. And you can imagine this
happen fairly frequently with Grant. He has it on 24/7. This is the time when people see through his disguise and
peg him for the jerk he really is. But, it is very easily fixed and within minutes you can be back and deceiving
again. It’s a must for the 90’s super villain.
If anyone were ever to steal this device from Grant, he’d be in hot water for sure. How do you think he got out
of going to jail so many times? This is a miracle cure for the underhanded. Ask Grant yourself if you’re ever in
the market for such a thing. I know he would recommend it highly.
